Blast Your ETH to Blast
Last updated
To those who don't already hold their ETH on layer 2 networks (such as Base or Optimism) or BNB Chain: Ensure you have a layer 2 network or BNB Chain added in your MetaMask (or other self-custodial wallet you use). You will need one to easily bridge your ETH to Blast for a very affordable price (~$1).

Follow MetaMask's simple installation steps then go right back to this guide.
Please ensure that you copy and store your 12-word recovery phase in a secure, preferably physical, place.
You will need a layer 2 network, as was mentioned before. We used Base for this guide. In our opinion, it (and Optimism) is the fastest and cheapest way to bridge to Blast.
Add Base to your wallet using this convenient link for auto-adding.
https://chainlist.org/?search=base
The link will take you directly to the Base addition button, but, before that, you'll need to connect your wallet first. So click Connect Wallet.
Your MetaMask will ask you to confirm the connection so hit Connect.
Once connected, your MetaMask will automatically prompt you to add the Base network to your wallet. Click Approve to finalize the addition.
Not that Base is added, MetaMask will suggest that you switch to Base right away. Do it by pressing Switch Network.
✅ Done! You've successfully added the Base network.
Add Blast to your wallet by using this convenient link for auto-adding:
https://chainlist.org/?search=blast
This process is the same as Base, except that now you have your wallet connected, so there's one less step.
You can now bridge your ETH to Blast from any network in 2 minutes for cheap. Nice and easy.
To do this, you'll need to visit the rhino.fi bridge.
You're in a lot of luck if you hold your ETH on one of these L1 or L2 networks: Arbitrum One, Optimism, Scroll, Starknet, zkSync Era, Kroma, Mantle, Mode, Rari, Zeta, Base, Arbitrum Nova, Avalanche, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Linea, Manta Pacific, Polygon, Polygon zkEVM, or rhino.fi. The reason is rhino.fi supports all of them for bridging to the one and only Blast.
So, open up rhino.fi and connect your wallet.
Let's go for MetaMask so we cover the whole bridging process for the vast majority of our community, so choose MetaMask.
Then the Connect Your Wallet pop-up will appear followed by your MetaMask wallet's signature window.
Don't touch the Connect Your Wallet window just yet and head to the MetaMask signature window and hit Sign.
If at any point you don’t see a MetaMask window open when it should, simply click the MetaMask fox icon with a number (indicating there are signature requests that need your attention) in your browser’s extensions section to make it appear.
Go back to rhino.fi's Connect Your Wallet pop-up and click Authenticate Your Wallet, which will take you to another MetaMask signature window.
Click Sign here.
Return to the Connect Your Wallet window and, finally, hit Enable L2 access.
Now you're all set to bridge your precious ETH.
Next step, you'll see the following window:
Set ETH in Token, enter the amount of ETH you'd like to bridge, select the source blockchain, and Blast right below as the destination chain.
You'll see how much you're going to receive after gas fees.
Remember, rhino.fi currently charges no bridging fees of their own.
You can also bridge for another address by clicking Other Address.
Per the rhino.fi team, bridging from layer 2s as well as BNB Chain typically takes less than 30s and up to 1.5 min. tops.
Hit Bridge once you've set everything required in the window and ensured everything is correct.
The Initiating Bridge window will pop up.
Then a MetaMask transaction confirmation window will follow where you need to check that you configured the transaction correctly and the gas fee suits you. Then simply click Confirm to initiate the bridging.
When you've confirmed the transaction, rhiho.fi will give you a notification that your ETH is about to be bridged.
Soon you'll get a MetaMask pop-up you that your transaction was a success.
Or, in very rare instances, it may fail, in which case you'll need to try again and check that the info you input is correct and that you have enough ETH on the destination blockchain (Base in this case) to make the transaction.
That's when you'll notice a Success section in your rhino.fi interface with key details about the transaction. This is when the bridging officially starts.
Only ~58s in our case, which is practically instant in terms of bridging. Smooth and seamless too.
You'll also see that you now have a Recent Transactions table next to the main bridging window with your transaction shown as processing.
Finally, it will show a green checkmark in the Recent Transactions table which means your ETH has been successfully bridged to Blast. Yay 🥳!
✅ Done. Welcome your ETH on Blast!
As you can see, bridging from Base only cost us a measly 5 cents.
Welp, this question only means you've been a perma CEX (centralized exchange) user, but fret not! Here's how. Let's, once again, take a look at the example of the most used platform, and we're talking CEXs, so it's Binance.
The following process is quite similar among all centralized exchanges, so can use this guide to follow similar steps on Bybit, for example.
Now, log in to your Binance, click the Wallet button in your sidebar, then select Fiat & Spot.
Here, hit Withdraw in the ETH row, which will take you straight to the withdrawal setup page.
Great, only a couple more steps left to send your ETH coins to a Layer 2 network!
ETH will be selected by default if you chose it in the previous step. However, make sure that ETH is indeed set.
Enter your self-custodial wallet address (such as MetaMask or Rabby).
Select a network. Currently, Base and Optimism are the most cost-effective options.
Input the amount and ensure that Spot Wallet is selected (or Funding Wallet if that’s where your ETH is stored).
Check that the gas fee for transferring your ETH to a Layer 2 blockchain is acceptable to you.
Verify that you are satisfied with the amount you will receive.
After that, you'll see a withdrawal confirmation pop-up. Ensure again that all the details are right and hit Continue.
The Security Verification Requirements window will open up where you need to approve the withdrawal with your authenticator app of choice (like Google Authenticator) and email where you'll receive OTPs (one-time passwords).
Refer to your authenticator app and paste the code in the input field.
Ensure you do everything quickly so the time-based authentication code stays valid.
Now do the same for Email.
Press Email then click the yellow Get Code button to have the code sent to the email you use for Binance. Copy and paste the code you got in this field.
Once you paste your email code, the system will automatically notify you that your withdrawal request is processing.
For example, for Base, it takes just several seconds until you've gotten your ETH on Base.
If you don't see your ETH on your Dashboard's Fiat & Spot page, this may mean you have them working or lying in Binance's Futures, Funding, Cross or Isolated Margin, USDⓈ-M or COIN-M Futures, Options, or Isolated Margin features. For either of them, click Transfer as you enter their respective pages to get your ETH into Fiat & Spot.
Before that, ensure your ETH is not engaged in any leveraged trades.
Here's how the button looks on the Wallet's Futures page:
You may also find it in the corresponding ETH row:
The Transfer pop-up will show up.
Set Futures, Funding, Cross or Isolated Margin, USDⓈ-M or COIN-M Futures, Options, or Isolated Margin in From (depending on the feature your ETH is currently in), and Fiat & Spot in To.
Select ETH in Coin if not selected automatically.
Input your amount and click Confirm.
✅ Done! Now your ETH should be in your Binance Fiat & Spot wallet.
Such transfers between different wallet features are free on Binance and other CEXs.
Please note that bridging from the Ethereum mainnet will cost you arm and leg, compared to L2 bridging, at least, especially now that the network activity is surging and the ETH price is experiencing increased volatility.
We strongly advise using your CEX or L2-held for transferring to Blast to avoid unnecessary capital expenses.
Who uses their ETH from the mainnet, are you okay? 🥲
